The Denver Broncos are on a two-game losing streak, but look to end it with a win over the rival Las Vegas Raiders.
The Denver Broncos‘ season began with a three-game winning streak, but now find themselves on a two-game skid. That came to fruition this past Sunday after the Broncos lost 27-19 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team did have a 24-6 deficit and did come close to tying until a late interception thrown by quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in the end zone.
Denver will look to bring their losing streak to an end this Sunday when they host the rival Las Vegas Raiders, who will be playing their first game without Jon Gruden as head coach due to his resignation following an email scandal. This will be the first time these two AFC West squads meet up this season, and a win will help Denver gain ground on the Los Angeles Chargers, who currently hold first-place in the division.
Here are five bold predictions for the Broncos in their Week 6 matchup against the Raiders.
Javonte Williams has first 100-yard rushing game
If there was any time for Williams to log 100 rushing yards in a game for the first time in his career, it will be this weekend.
Las Vegas’ defense has had difficulties stopping the run. Just look last week, where they surrendered 143 yards and one touchdown on 37 carries against a Chicago Bears rushing attack without David Montgomery. On the season, the Raiders have averaged 134.4 rushing yards per game to the opposition, which is the eighth-most in the NFL.
Williams is coming off a great performance against the Steelers, as he rushed for 61 yards on just eight carries. His longest run of the game came at 49-yards, which fell just short of being a touchdown.
Taking all of this into consideration, Williams should be able to crack 100 yards this weekend.
