Brian Flores’ team has rebounded after a horrific start. Can the Miami Dolphins win a fifth straight game when they take on the New York Giants?

Things are getting pretty interesting in South Florida. From a huge win at Foxborough on the opening Sunday to seven straight losses to four consecutive victories.

The Miami Dolphins have slowly but surely crawled back into the playoff chase in the wild AFC. There is a long way to go and a short time to get there. But Brian Flores’ team is making a run and the Miami defense has played a big hand in reversal of fortunes.

This week, the now 5-7 Dolphins are back at home for the second straight Sunday and take on another NFC opponent in the New York Giants.

5. QB Tua Tagovailoa sacked 3-plus times

While he missed four games this year and had made only seven starts, Dolphins’ second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is playing very solid football these days.

He and teammate Jacoby Brissett have both appeared in eight contests this season. They have relatively the same number of pass attempts. But the latter has been sacked 18 times while the former University of Alabama star has been dropped on 10 occasions.

It’s also interesting to note that Tagovailoa has been sacked two times or less in each of his games this season. The Giants’ pass rush has been from imposing this season via 21 sacks in 11 contests. But don’t be surprised if Leonard Williams and company come up big on Sunday.
