Former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith poked fun at current Patrick Mahomes for not being able to order a steak correctly.

Patrick Mahomes isn’t perfect. Stop the presses.

In case you’re wondering if there’s something that Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes can’t do well, we now know. On the Arrowhead Addict podcast,  former Chiefs star Alex Smith was asked to divulge something Mahomes struggles with. Turns out, the former MVP can’t order a decent steak.

Alex Smith says Patrick Mahomes doesn’t know how to order a steak

Considering Mahomes plays in Kansas City, one of the foremost places for barbecue and all things red meat, this is a cuisine tragedy.

“I don’t know if he’s improved on this but he can’t order a steak, I’ll tell ya that,” Smith laughed. “Well done with ketchup. Hopefully he’s grown from that since my days. I used to give him a really hard time at a bunch of our QB dinners.”

A well-done steak with ketchup? A disgraceful situation. It’s a shock the quarterbacks continued to dine with Mahomes and didn’t leave him at the facility.

Then again, Mahomes is off to one of the best starts for a career in NFL history, so maybe the rest of the league’s quarterbacks should try it out. Mahomes might be onto something.

Smith is working with Gatorade Gx. The Gx Sweat Patch is a first-to-market wearable that unlocks athletes’ unique sweat profile to inform their personalized hydration strategies that can help drive performance. This technology was previously only available to the pros, but now it’s available to everyone with an iPhone. It connects to the free Gx app so you can see your results.
