The Los Angeles Rams offense is about to get even more potent, with stud running back Cam Akers officially back on the practice field.

With the Los Angeles Rams fighting to not only win the NFC West, but also grab the No. 1 seed in the NFC, life sure is good for Sean McVay. How could things get better for him this holiday season? Oh, how about running back Cam Akers making his return.

That’s exactly what has happened this week, as Akers returned to practice for LA on Friday. This really is something, as Akers suffered a torn Achilles over the summer. He’s made a quick recovery, though, and the speedster is ready to help his team out down the stretch.

Cam Akers back at practice is massive for the Rams

Countless hearts were broken in the City of Angels when it was announced Akers had suffered his injury. Many believed that his season was done before it could even get started. That’s not the case, as Akers worked overtime to get himself healthy for a potential Super Bowl run.

The Rams (10-4) have looked fantastic this year, with Matthew Stafford really bringing the offense to a top level. Wideout Cooper Kupp leads the NFL in receptions, yards and touchdowns. The man belongs in the MVP conversation. As a reminder, the team also signed a guy by the name of Odell Beckham Jr. in the middle of the campaign.

Now, Los Angeles could see Akers back on the field carrying the pigskin as well? The rich have gotten richer here. Akers’ return is definitely a Christmas gift for McVay and his coaching staff. Rams supporters are jacked up for this Akers news and no one can blame them for that.
