Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy didn’t hold back with his thoughts on how his unit played against the Tennessee Titans last week.
The Kansas City Chiefs are 3-4 on the year and folks are still in disbelief about how poorly the team as a whole has looked. On offense, though, there’s surely something wrong with Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the playmakers.
That much was made clear in the embarrassing 27-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 7. Leading up to Monday’s tilt with the New York Giants, offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy didn’t mince words when talking about the offense. They simply have to be better.

The Kansas City Chiefs are in desperate need of a win against New York in Week 8
You can’t argue with Bieniemy here. Tennessee was nothing short of sensational against Kansas City. Things were so bad for the Chiefs, the team entered the locker room at halftime down 27-0. What in the world?
There’s simply no excuse for that to happen. Mahomes had another rough showing, throwing an interception against Tennessee. The fact that he now has nine picks, tied for most in the NFL, this early in the season is something that no one was expecting.
With all of that said, Kansas City really has a great chance to get things back on track going up against the lowly Giants on Monday. After that, Kansas City will then host Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in what will easily be the most intriguing matchup of the week.
Should the Chiefs go 0-2 over the next two weeks, though, then fans will really start to freak out. It will be on Bieniemy and his standouts, of course including Mahomes, to make sure that doesn’t happen.
