Dolphins: 3 replacements for Tua Tagovailoa in 2022

It’s clear that Tua Tagovailoa is not the long-term answer for the Miami Dolphins and head coach Brian Flores.

Things really reached a new low for the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. Going up against the winless Jacksonville Jaguars in London, Urban Meyer and Co. stunned Miami with a walk-off victory. That’s a big yikes there, folks.

While quarterback Tua Tagovailoa tossed for 329 yards and two touchdowns, his consistency continues to be an issue and the interception he tossed was truly inexcusable, as he was way short in trying to connect with his target.

With all of that said, it’s time for Miami to start thinking about his replacement. In this piece, we’ve got three options that would surely make sense for them, of course including the one and only Aaron Rodgers.

3. Aaron Rodgers

The expectation is that unless something drastic happens, this will be Rodgers’ final season with the Green Bay Packers. The future Hall-of-Famer will go down as arguably the best quarterback to ever don a Green Bay jersey.

However, due to his beef with the front office, it’d feel like a stunner if Rodgers returns to Lambeau Field next season. Well, what about Miami? This is a young, exciting Dolphins team. Rodgers could make his way to town and really take the offense to a new level.

Despite being 37 and turning 38 in December, Rodgers is still playing at an incredible level. Entering the Week 6 contest with the Chicago Bears, he’s thrown for 1,241 yards and 10 touchdowns. The thought of him getting the ball to Jaylen Waddle, DeVante Parker and others is pretty dang wild.

Remember that Davante Adams is a free agent this offseason too. He and Rodgers would love to keep playing together. The Dolphins could make things a package deal here and really rock the NFL. If Rodgers wants a fresh start, a move to Miami could be something he’d be open to.
