After starting out the season with a disappointing 1-2 record, the Kansas City Chiefs signed WR Josh Gordon on Monday.
The Kansas City Chiefs went back to the drawing board after starting out the season 1-2 and pulled out.. Josh Gordon. He won’t be of any help to the Chiefs’ struggling defense, but his ability at the WR position paired with QB Patrick Mahomes should terrify defenses in the NFL.
It’s an overreaction to say that Kansas City won’t be making its third Super Bowl in as many seasons, but the Chiefs’ offense just got a huge boost. Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and now Josh Gordon? Sheesh.
This marks the third time that Gordon has been reinstated to the league, but he may have found the perfect pairing by landing in Kansas City.

How many times has Josh Gordon been suspended?
Gordon hasn’t played a game since December of 2019 and will be eligible to play as soon as Week 4, when the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. Although it may not be until Week 5 that he takes the field.
Gordon scored one touchdown during the 2019 season, but that number will likely quadruple under the leadership of Kansas City’s offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. With No. 15 throwing the ball, Gordon is going to thrive.

It seems like an obvious statement, but Kansas City just got a whole lot better. The Chiefs’ defense should be counting their blessings that they won’t have to face off against their own offense.
