NFL Twitter goes nuts after Odell Beckham Jr. clears waivers

With Odell Beckham Jr. clearing waivers, he’s free to ink anywhere he wants and countless fans are begging for their favorite team to sign him.

What’s next for star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.?

On Tuesday, he officially cleared waivers and is all set to sign a new contract with the club he desires. While multiple teams will of course love to land him, it’s looking like Beckham could either head to New Orleans, Seattle or Green Bay.

As soon as it was announced that he’s now a free agent, Twitter exploded with fans calling for Beckham to sign with their team.

The $1 million question now is, where will he land?

Former #Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr has cleared waivers, per me and @MikeGarafolo. He’s a free agent for the first time in his career.

Odell Beckham Jr. free agency is massive news for the NFL as a whole

Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Packers are Beckham’s preferred destination. However, Ian Rapoport also reported that Seattle and New Orleans are the two favorites. Until Beckham signs on the dotted line with a new team, social media is going to continue to erupt.

Beckham’s split with the Browns couldn’t have gone worse, as his dad blasted Baker Mayfield. That’s what led to all the drama with the team, and Cleveland ultimately deciding to release him because of it.

Now, people will be refreshing Twitter every second to see where Beckham signs. If he does indeed make his way to Green Bay, Packers fans are going to be thrilled at the thought of Aaron Rodgers having another stud receiver to throw to.

Beckham and Davante Adams teaming up to lead things for the wideouts would cause plenty of panic for opposing defensive backs. With that said, Seattle or New Orleans could swoop in and make something happen too. Or, maybe there’s a surprise team ready to bring in Beckham? We should find out soon enough where Beckham will be making plays next.
