The Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos are among the NFL teams that should be on upset alert in Week 6.

There were some close calls with upsets around the NFL in Week 5, including Green Bay needing overtime to survive the Cincinnati Bengals and the Minnesota Vikings needing a field goal at the gun to avoid losing to the Detroit Lions. The amount of parity in the NFL this season is drastic and there isn’t a single opponent teams can take lightly in Week 6.

Let’s take a look at three NFL teams that need to be on high alert as they get ready to play their Week 6 matchups. All odds referenced in this story come courtesy of the FanDuel Sportsbook.

3. NFL teams that should be on upset alert in Week 6 – Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers were an upset victim in Week 5, falling to the Philadelphia Eagles after a sloppy performance from quarterback Sam Darnold. The Eagles picked off Darnold three times in their 21-18 win, a bad sign for a quarterback who was turnover-prone from his days with the New York Jets.

It’s not clear yet if Christian McCaffrey will be back in time for the Panthers’ Week 6 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, but FanDuel still lists them as 1.5 point favorites in this game. The fact that the spread is that close with Carolina at home is a reflection of the dangerous nature of the Vikings.

Minnesota barely squeaked by the Lions last week but all three of their losses have come by less than a touchdown against winning teams in Cincinnati, Arizona and Seattle with Russell Wilson. Don’t be shocked if the Vikings show up to play here and extend the Panthers’ losing streak to three games.
