Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi, a wife to Uganda’s main opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi ‘Bobi Wine’ has graduate with a Masters Degree in Human Rights from the University of London in United Kingdom.

Barbie who couldn’t hide her excitement made the revelation on Friday via her official social media pages.

“Today, on this International Human Rights day 2021, I leave London with a much deserved Masters Degree in Human Rights from the University of London,” she said.


Barbie thanked her husband Bobi Wine for the full and unreserved support that has helped her achieve the milestone.

“… You are my Rock Taata. Thank you! Thank you for encouraging me and for being patient with me while I ventured into a very challenging academic journey.
To the People Power foot soldiers who allowed me to dig deep into your personal lives for my Thesis, I will forever be grateful. To my dear friend Kiyaga Cissy who opened her little room at Makerere University campus for most of my last minute “winter classes”, Thank you,” she stated.

” To you David Lewis Rubongoya, thank you for all the support you’ve rendered during this MA. My Professors Dr. Damien and Dr. Corinne, thank you for being available any time I needed you.
Finally to my parents and Children, you are the wind beneath my wings. Our God is an awesome God. He is indeed able, he has done wonderful things in my life!”

On the other hand Bobi Wine also congratulated his wife for upon her graduation. He said she is such an inspiration to the current and next generation especially that of a girl child.

“Congratulations to you dear Barbie Kyagulanyi upon your graduation with a Masters degree in Human Rights from the University of London(School Of Advanced Studies). You are such an inspiration to this generation and the next one, especially the girl child. Oh how proud I am of you my love. Congs again,”the former presidential candidate said in a Facebook post.
