Rankin and Lindberg will fight for the vacant WBA belt on Friday

Hannah Rankin and Maria Lindberg will fight this Friday for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight title at the Banqueting Hall of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in London, England.

Both will step into the ring in a very interesting fight between two very experienced fighters. Both have been waiting for the opportunity to fight for the black and gold title and now that the opportunity has come up, they don’t want to miss it.

Rankin has already been world champion and has fought great fighters such as Alicia Napoleon and Claressa Shields. The 31-year-old British fighter is coming off of her most recent fight on March 12, when she defeated Kholosa Ndobayini.

Lindberg is also very experienced and has a list of great opponents she has fought. Marie Eve Dicaire, Savannah Marshall and Christina Hammer are some of the boxers who have fought the Swede.

This Thursday will be the weigh-in ceremony and on Friday both will be ready to step into the ring. Rankin comes in with a record of 10 wins and 5 losses, while Lindberg has 19 wins, 7 losses and 2 draws.
