Fans were just trying to enjoy the Steelers and Chargers playing on SNF but then Twitter caught a whiff of what sounded like a fart on the broadcast.
There are some things you expect to see on Sunday Night Football. A great primetime NFL game, two possible playoff teams (on a good week) and even solid commentary from Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth. What you don’t expect is what we might’ve gotten for the Steelers and Chargers clash on SNF in Week 11.
Early in the game with the Steelers in possession, things seemingly were going smoothly.
But then, as the sleuths of Twitter noted, they caught wind of a situation that stunk to high heavens — namely, the sound of a fart seeping through the broadcast airwaves.
Did Al Michaels or Chris Collinsworth fart on the SNF broadcast?
It’s impossible to say whether or not Al Michaels or Cris Collinsworth went to the hot mic at the worst possible time while they tried to pass gas, but it definitely sounded like it.
And if we’re going to rely on the Twitter Detective Agency to solve this cheese-cutting mystery, the majority seems to think that’s what happened as well.

“Mr. Me” just straight-up asking the official SNF Twitter account if that’s what happened is comedy gold.
Unfortunately, we may not get to the bottom of this mystery but, if they were to deny it, let’s say the current evidence doesn’t quite pass the smell test.
