What’s New On Netflix: August 2021

If you’re feeling the searing days of August, chances are you’re looking for a way to tamp down the summer heat. Well, fear not! Netflix might just have the movies and TV shows you need to stay cool.

Among the Netflix original films making their screen debut this month are the crime thriller “Beckett,” a gender-swapped “He’s All That,” the action thriller “Sweet Girl” and the teen rom-com “The Kissing Booth 3.”

The streaming platform will also premiere “The Chair,” a brand-new original dramedy series starring Sandra Oh as the first woman to chair an English department at a prestigious university.

Meanwhile, Netflix will add other long-awaited TV series, including “Clickbait,” “Top Secret UFO Projects: Declassified,” “Brand New Cherry Flavor,” “Bake Squad” and Paris Hilton’s “Cooking With Paris.”

Fans of the anime genre can check out “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf,” “Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild,” “Shaman King,” “Edens Zero” and “I Heart Arlo.”

Finally, popular movie gems will also abound for your streaming pleasure, including “Magnolia,” “Inception,” “The Edge of Seventeen,” “Space Cowboys” and “Catch Me if You Can.”
