Nike’s Air Jordan 1 High OG “Bred Patent” is set to release December next month as part of Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2021 Retro collection. The upcoming release reimagines the iconic two-tone “Bred” look with full patent leather.

The Air Jordan 1 “Bred Patent” is accented by black nylon tongues, debossed Wings motifs at the ankle and “family” embroidery on the lining. Finally, the midsoles are white and are paired with a contrasting red rubber outsole. Additionally, the shoes come with a glossy take on the retro Nike Jordan brand box with a metallic red Jumpman tag.

The Nike Air Jordan 1 was originally designed in 1984 by Peter Moore, following Michael Jordan’s signing with Nike. The Air Jordan 1 has become one of the most recognisable sneakers ever made. With every milestone in Michael Jordan’s career, came a new colourway for the Nike Air Jordan 1, and the “Bred” colourway is the perfect example.

The black and red colour combination found fame when Jordan wore the pair continually on the court, despite breaking NBA’s uniform policy. Although known as “Bred”, the story behind this colourway led to the name, “Banned”.

The shoes are priced at US$170 and are set to release on December 30 available on the Nike SNKRS app. Else, you can also get yourself a pair on GOAT or Flight Club.
