Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander suffered a shoulder injury, and needed to be carted off the field after a big hit against Steelers running back Najee Harris
The Green Bay Packers’ defense suffered a big blow, when cornerback Jaire Alexander was carted off after a huge hit in Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lambeau Field.
Alexander suffered a shoulder injury, and is officially listed as questionable to return, following a huge between the numbers collision with Steelers rookie running back Najee Harris in the second half against Pittsburgh.

Even with Alexander in the lineup, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was in the midst of an efficient afternoon, connecting on 17-of-27 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown, as the Packers led 27-10 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
With Alexander sidelined, the Packers will likely lean heavily on Kevin King and Chandon Sullivan to contain the Steelers’ wide receiving corps that includes Dionte Johnson, Juju Smith-Schuster, and Chase Claypool. Johnson already caught one touchdown with Alexander on the field.
Obviously, if Alexander is forced to miss significant time, it would be a significant loss for the Packers’ secondary.
